BEGINNING WEAVING - Join Diane to learn to weave a scarf on a Rigid Heddle Loom.  No prior experience is required, just a passion for fibers. You will start the project in class and then take the loom home to finish weaving the scarf.  Return in two weeks to remove the scarf from the loom and twist the fringe.

PROJECT - Finished size 7” x 65" scarf plus fringe in one or two colors.

SKILL LEVEL - Absolute Beginner (Must be 10 years or older)

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN - How to calculate the amount of yarn for a project, to warp a loom using the direct warping method, to weave in plain weave, to hemstitch, and to learn general weaving terminology.

CLASS FEE:  $80.00 which includes the use of a 10–16" rigid heddle loom with a 7.5 dent heddle, 1–2 stick shuttles, 3 clamps, warping peg, threading hook, warping paper, and tapestry needle for two weeks. You may use your own rigid heddle loom in good working order and the class fee is $60.00.  (Cash or check preferred.  72 Hr. Cancellation notice to receive full refund).  Yarn is extra.

REQUIRED YARN - 300 yards total of worsted weight yarn (#4). You can use one or two colors of the same yarn. (This is not included in the class fee and may be purchased from Yarned & Dangerous before the start of class.)
